Trust & safety
Community Guidelines
SENDBridge is a supportive, respectful and moderated community. These guidelines are what keeps it that way — for you, and for every parent and carer who comes here looking for help on a hard day.
Our promise to you
This community exists so that no parent or carer has to work this out alone. You should be able to ask a question, share a worry or celebrate a win without being judged, sold to or shouted down. We will keep it that way.
Community areas, private messages and your own records are private to signed-in members. Nothing you write in the community is shown to the open internet.
What we ask of you
- Be kind. There is a real person behind every post, and most of us are doing our best.
- Assume good intent. A short reply can read colder than it was meant.
- Respect different journeys. Every child, family and diagnosis is different.
- Share experience, not instructions. What worked for you may not suit someone else.
- Never judge another parent or carer for the choices they have made.
- Keep what you share about your child thoughtful — see our Child Safety page for guidance.
What isn't welcome here
- Abuse, harassment, bullying or intimidation of any kind.
- Hate speech or discrimination, including about disability, race, religion, gender or sexuality.
- Threats, or encouraging anyone to harm themselves or someone else.
- Sexual content, or any content involving children that is sexual in nature.
- Spam, advertising, referral links or repeated self-promotion.
- Sharing another person's private information, including names, addresses or photos.
- Presenting unproven treatments or personal opinion as medical or legal fact.
Reporting and moderation
- You can report any post, comment or message using the Report option, and block a member you no longer wish to see.
- Reports are reviewed by a small number of administrators. It is a person reading them, not an automated filter.
- Content that breaks these guidelines may be removed. Accounts may be given a warning or restricted where the behaviour continues.
- Reports are treated confidentially, and the person you reported is not told who reported them.
If you see something that worries you about a child's safety, please also read our Child Safety page.
