About SENDBridge

SENDBridge is a free online platform for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities across the UK. It brings trusted information, a support directory and a community of people who understand into one calm, easy-to-use place.

Why SENDBridge exists

Finding the right help for a child with SEND often means piecing information together from a dozen different places, chasing appointments and referrals, and repeating your story to service after service. It can be exhausting, and it is easy to feel alone in it.

SENDBridge was built to take some of that weight off. It gathers the information parents and carers actually need, keeps it in one place, and connects you with other families who are walking the same road.

It was created by a parent with lived experience of navigating SEND support — the referrals, the waiting lists, the paperwork and the days that feel impossible. We know how heavy it can be because we have carried it too, and SENDBridge is the place we wished we had been able to turn to.

Who it is for

SENDBridge is for parents, carers, grandparents, foster carers and kinship carers supporting a child or young person with additional needs — whether you have a diagnosis already, are waiting for one, or are still trying to work out what is going on.

It is also useful for young people looking for support of their own, and for anyone caring for a family member. SENDBridge is an adult platform: it is designed for the adults supporting a child, not for children to use themselves.

How we keep it safe

  • SENDBridge is intended to be a supportive and respectful community, and it is moderated. Every post, comment and message can be reported, and content that breaks our Community Guidelines is removed.
  • Community areas, private messages and personal records are only available to signed-in members.
  • Your Organiser entries and any information you record about your child are private to your account and are never shown to other members.
  • No personal information — names, emails or anything about your child — is displayed on our public pages.
  • Members can report a post, comment or message, and block another member, from inside the app.
  • A small number of administrators can review content that has been reported, so that they can act on it.
  • SENDBridge does not sell your personal information.
  • You can delete your account, and everything that belongs to it, whenever you choose.

You can read the full detail in our Community Guidelines, our Child Safety page and our Privacy Policy.
